The influence of movement exercises on the human body is very complex and versatile. One has to remember that some exercises may be harmful to the patient with a given ailment, which is why it is indispensible to do any exercise under the supervision of a qualified therapist. Movement exercises deliver beneficial effects to joints, bones, muscles, nerve system, respiratory, circulatory systems, as well as digestive and urogenital systems. They cause comprehensive effects, and once they are applied correctly they are an effective and lasting therapeutic method. They require, though, engagement and regularity from the patient, which is why it would be best to keep on doing later on at home the exercises which were part of the health resort treatment. In our health resort, we do both group and individual  exercises. There is also a free-access gym, which is properly equipped. Ozone therapy is a safe and effective method of treatment.
Ozone as a therapeutic agent
Ozone is used to disinfect different types of wounds and to treat diseases which are caused by bacteria or viruses. In the case of the low ozone concentration therapy, the body's natural immune capabilities are stimulated - ozone activates the immune system. Ozone is also a perfect stimulator of blood circulation, that is why it is widely used in treating the diseases of the circulatory system. It enlivens and stimulates organic functions. In response to the body stimulation caused by ozone, the immune system produces a special protein substance - called cytokine, which plays the role of mediator that regulates the velocity and type of the immunological response (as well as intermediary substances such as: interferon or interleukin). These substances control inflammatory processes, as well as the effects and maturing of the immune system cells, thus initiating an accumulation process of positive changes in the immune system. It means that the use of ozone therapy is a great method of stimulating the immune system in patients with the low-level immunity syndrome or from its absence. Small dosages of ozone, called "the basics of autohemotherapy", consistently stimulate the natural antioxidant substances of the body and the efficient eliminators of bacteria (detoxification agents).

Advatages  of ozone therapy:
• high efficiency
• fast effects
• no need to have antybiogram tests
• no side effects

The influence of the Nordic walking method on the human body is similar to the influence of motor exercises described above. It is a very attractive and effective method of the comprehensive rehabilitation of the whole body.
Nordic walking is probably the only kind of physical recreation, which can be exercised by any person, regardless of their age and health condition.
In the 1970s, competitive biathlonists created the modern Nordic walking, as it was supported by comprehensive scientific research. It was created in co-operation with trainers, physiologists and physicians, who established the system of  pre-season training, which involves just walking, running and jumping while holding poles in hands. It quickly turned out that even a regular walk with "supports" proved to be a successful rehabilitation method for sportsmen who sustained some injuries.
Nordic Walking activates as much as 90% of human muscle structure, relieving at the same time the knees and hips by one third, as compared to running or race walking.
Nordic walking poles are different from the poles used in skiing or in trekking;  these are fitted with shock absorbers, removable rubber tips, which are useful for different types of terrain, ergonomically shaped grips, as well as a combination of loops and straps, through which the hand is placed to grasp the grip.
The grip profile and its harness on Nordic walking poles enables dragging them, instead of carrying; this, in combination with propping yourself in appropriate  moments and skillful coordination of movements, affects our body in a salutary manner. While marching, we follow the rule diagonal movements; it means that we use the poles and move our legs alternatingly: i.e putting your left heel on the ground, and propping up yourself with the right pole and vice versa.
Nordic Walking, which brings joy and health regardless of the season of the year, is recommended for anyone who is looking for a simple way to actively and unconventionally spend time in the open air. Walking with poles may be done anywhere: - in the streets, roadsides, parks, on a sandy seaside beach or a mountain path. In order to master the technique, it is enough to walk merely 200m.
It has been proven that the movement in question positively affects the regeneration of the human bone system. It is often prescribed both to the athletes who sustained some injuries and to  anyone who suffers from the ailments of spine, elbows, knees, arms or hips. Patients who suffer from rheumatism, muscle pains or degenerative changes praise the method. It may also be effective in eliminating inflammatory conditions and metabolism.
The versatile effects of Nordic walking result from the fact that in the endurance training, and in the muscle exercise at the same time, this kind of activity is almost by half more effective than regular walking or running.
Danuta Straszyńska, Ph.D. from Warsaw (Science of Physical Culture), who is an ex-Olympic athlete of track-and-field, a Nordic walking enthusiast, and the author of scientific works in this field, claims:
“In my opinion, Nordic walking is best suited for both the healthy and the sick. Nowadays, spine and knee pains are widespread, so the recreation by Nordic Walking guarantees training which safe and easy for your health. Two years ago, my spine was broken and for 3 months I was immobilized. The rehabilitation that started afterwards was slow and difficult. It was only when I was in Austria, that I learnt about Nordic Walking and I started practising it myself, helping my convalescence go smoothly. Today, despite the fact that I'm retired, I do Nordic Walking three times a week and I returned to practising ... figure skating.
In the Institute of Rehabilitation and Sport for the Disabled at the University in Leipzig, patients with heart problems were researched in order to check whether Nordic Walking could be used as a therapeutic method. The result was positive. However, before anyone who suffers from cardiologic ailments starts practising it, they should consult it with their doctor”.

73. BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS 30.00

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS with use of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA).

Changes in body weight can be caused by fluctuations in the amount of water, fat or muscle tissue – therefore proper weight loss programmes require individual analysis of body composition.

For years bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) has been a recognizable, quick and easy and completely non-invasive method for body composition analysis. Over a short time and with little effort we obtain credible data about our patient. Modern nutritional medicine is not limited to assessing the patient’s condition by body weight, but applies body composition analysis.

Our machine allows for testing:

● Fat tissue weight (A)

● Non-fat tissue weight (B) with

● cellural mass (BCM)

● Amount of water in the system (TBW)

● Distribution of cellular and extracellural water (C)

Detailed measurement of limbs is crucial for obtaining precise results, especially in the case of swelling and water retention, as well as asymmetric body structure. Due to the fact that torso resistance makes up for only 10% of body resistance, and its weight constitutes 50% of total body weight, torso composition analysis is possible only after precise definition of limb composition and changes in them.

The diagnostic procedure takes little time. A set of 8 electrodes is placed in twos at special points on all limbs. The test begins after the electrodes are applied and the button is pressed. It takes about 20 seconds. It is crucial to lay down for at least 5, best for 15, minutes before the test. This allows for even distribution of fluids over the body and spike in impedance in the first 10 minutes since laying down. The collected data is immediately transferred to a computer via USB cable.

74. MANUAL THERAPY * 60.00

I. Soft tissue techniques include:

1. Muscle energy technique is a combination of different techniques that originated from the orthopaedic, physiotherapy, osteopathy and chiropractic methods. It involves active participation by the patient to eliminate soft tissue disorders:
a) post isometric muscle relaxation - relaxation of hypertonic muscles, joint mobilization and preparation for manipulation

2. Musculofascial relaxation technique improves the internal mobility of the soft tissues, particularly the fascia.

3. Active relaxation technique removes irregularities within the soft tissue, such as adhesions and contractions. This technique combined with Myofascial release technique or Muscle energy Technique is extremely effective.

II. Traction (stretching) is based on increasing the distance between articular surfaces to reduce joint compression and alleviate pain

III. Mobilization is relying on passive or active exercise of certain joint movements in order to target locked joints and reduce pain

IV. Manipulation techniques arequick movements that occur beyond the available joint play range. The purpose of manipulations, or joint thrusts, is to increase the available range if it is not full. Secondly, manipulations are done to break adhesions that disrupt joint movement.

Treatment duration: up to 30 mins

75. TENSEGRATION MASSAGE * 60.00

Innovative massage method developed at the University of Physical Education in Wroclaw by
Dr K. Kassolika and Dr W. Andrzejewski.

Tensegration massage is based on the concept of structural relation between muscles, fascia and ligaments called the Tensegration rule according to which it is possible to determine which structures of the musculoskeletal system should be worked on to normalize their increased tension.
It involves massaging not only the affected area but also the connected areas. It results in normalization of muscle tone and elimination of pain. This method has a growing number of supporters among physiotherapists in this country and around the world.

Treatment duration: 30 mins

76. ANTI-OEDEMA COMPREHENSIVE THERAPY * 100.00

This massage therapy is the most effective in the treatment of lymphoedema, post-traumatic swelling, lipid abnormality and venous insufficiency. By directingpressure at the skin and muscle areas affected by oedema, the lymphatic system is activated during the process and the fluid drains away naturally. The activation of the lymph nodes is the key to getting the body to naturally drain away the excessive fluid accumulation that causes oedema.Massage therapy includes:

Manual lymphatic drainage
It involves employing the lymphatic system to drain fluids from the area affected by oedemas.
Generally, the massage is gentle and done in the direction of the heart.

Pressotherapy (bandaging)
It involves the use of pressure to the subdermal tissue, from the base of the limbs upwards towards the body resulting in: increased lymphatic drainage and venous return. Special compression bandages, wraps and cuffs are used.

Lymph taping
This method is used to augment the current oedema treatments such as manual lymphatic drainage and compression. It is based on taping the area of oedema with a special cotton fibre tape that activates the nerves and lymphatic pathways present in the body to improve lymph movement and decrease swelling.

91. BRAND TREATMENT* 35.00

BRAND TREATMENT is the combination of two treatments - fango and spine massage- it`s called the combined therapy - the action of the one treatment enhances the action of the other one.

I - FANGO (Italian: therapeutic sludge) is the warm treatment procedure which uses a material composing the mixture of paraffins and fango mass in order to overheat a part of the body. It is a mineral sludge of the volcanic origin, used for medicinal purposes since ancient times. There are various types of the fango sludge. In our sanatorium the German parfango, which contains a lot of minerals, is used. The parfango mass is characterized by the high heat capacity and low conductivity, its temperature is 46-49 degrees Celsius. Fango is usually put on the lumbar-sacral spine or the thoracic spine or the cervical spine; in some cases, it is put on the shoulders on the shoulder line (if a patient has problems with the upper part of the spine, where the pain spreads to the shoulders and their surrounding areas or radiates even in the elbows or hands)

II - the second type of treatment - MASSAGE, consists in special tricks and techniques in a strict sequence. As a result, it affects the skin, muscular system, bones, joints, ligaments, nervous and circulatory system, respiratory system, and - indirectly - the digestive and urogenital system. Such influence constitutes an evidence that the classical massage has the versatile influence on the organism, which, with a small amount of contraindications, predisposes this treatment to cure many diseases.

The action of the Brand Treatment:

- overheating of the tissues of some body parts;

-the chemical action of the fango mass ingredients; - analgesic;

- stimulating or calming the nervous system;

- strengthening muscles;

- the improvement of the blood flow;

- the increase of the mobility in joints;

- the increase of metabolism;

- the improvement of the respiratory function,

- the operation of stomach and intestines, etc.

Indications: - inflammation of joints, tendons and tissues; - degenerative disease of the spine and large joints; - post-traumatic syndromes; - post-traumatic and post-operative scars; - contractures; - muscular atrophy; - neuralgia; - rheumatic and degenerative diseases; - neuroses; - obesity; - convalescence and exhaustion conditions; - general fatigue

92. BRANDED TREATMENT PLUS* 40.00

Branded treatment PLUS is a combination of two types of treatment - fango (10-15 min.), and massage of the spine using a special nutrient massage wax (10 min.).The operation of the first treatment enhances the effect of the other, where except for massage effect adds the operation of the wax used.

The first type of treatment - fango is a heat treatment, in which a substance, being a mixture of paraffin and fango mass being mineral slime of volcanic origin, is used for local overheating. Parfango mass contains a lot of minerals, has a high heat capacity and low conductivity. Such excellent properties predispose it for deep and prolonged local overheating of the tissue, whose temperature is 46-49 degrees Celsius.

Branded Treatment Plus - Fango is usually put on the lumbar-sacral segment of the spine, or thoracic or cervical segment; in some cases, on the shoulders in the shoulder line (if the patient has problems with the top part of the spine where the pain spreads to the area surrounding the shoulders or radiates even in the direction of elbows or hands)

II WAX MASSAGE, which consists in special grips and techniques in a strict sequence. The effect is the impact on the skin, muscular system, bones, joints, ligaments, nervous and cardiovascular system. For the procedure we use waxes with different fragrance notes, eg., among others, the odor type - CocoMadmoiselle. They give a very pleasant and intense aroma, not only during treatment but for a few hours afterwards. The wax contains 100% natural ingredients, including shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin A, E and F, through which it perfectly moisturizes and nourishes even the driest skin.

Wax massage improves skin condition in a completely different way than the usually applied creams or olives. The natural fragrance composition derived from natural oils makes the wax gentle and relaxing.

Such interaction ensures versatile influence of the classical massage on the body, which, with a small amount of contraindications predisposes the procedure for the treatment of many diseases.

Effect:

- local superheating of tissues; - Chemical action of ingredients of the fango mass; - analgesic; - stimulating or calming the nervous system; - strengthening muscles; - improving blood flow; - increase of the mobility in the joints; - increase of metabolism; - improvement of respiratory function, work of the stomach, intestines, etc.

- inflammation of the joints, tendons and tissues; - degenerative disease of the spine and large joints; - post-traumatic condition; - post-traumatic and post-operative scars; - contractures; - muscular atrophy; - neuralgia; - rheumatic and degenerative diseases; - neuroses; - obesity; - states of convalescence and exhaustion; - general fatigue

Treatment time 25 min.

93. BRANDED TREATMENT EXTRA* 120.00

BRANDED TREATMENT EXTRA - it is a consist in carrying out three different treatments for 30 minutes. It starts with the placing of a patch of warm mud on the part of the spine in order to warm it up, and preparing the area for further treatment, which will be a dry partial massage (the spine). At this time, when the heat of the peloid patch gradually releases its properties a foot massage is done (feet acupressure) using a special nutrient wax for massage. It is so called a combined therapy. The effect of the first procedure (peloid compress) enhances the effect of the other (dry partial massage). In addition, we have the effect of the wax acupressure made with massage wax.

 The first type of surgery - patches of mud rely on placing of layer of warm peloid mud (with the temperatures up to 55 degrees Celsius) on spots on the patient - usually one or two joints or segment of spine.

These treatments soothe pains in muscles and joints. They reduce the edema formation induced by inflammation. They improve the elasticity of the joints soft tissues, and also have a warming effect.

They are used in rheumatic diseases, rehabilitation of locomotor therapy, menopause and to improve trophics of the skin.

The branded treatment Plus - a peloid mud patch is usually placed on the segment of the lumbar-sacral spine. They can also be put on the thoracic or cervical segment; in some cases, on the shoulders in the shoulder line (if the patient has problems with the top part of the spine where the pain spreads to the area surrounding the shoulders or radiates even in the direction of elbows or hands)

The other type of treatment used here is FOOT ACUPRESSURE WITH MASSAGE WAX (full of vitamins and minerals - nourishing for the skin). It is a far-east natural method of treatment of various diseases. It consists in unclogging energy channels by performing various forms of oppression on specific points located on the feet in order to establish a prophylactic or therapeutic effect

The wax used with this treatment contains 100% natural ingredients, including shea butter, sweet almond oil, vitamin A, E and F, through which it perfectly moisturizes and nourishes even the driest skin. . The natural fragrance composition derived from natural oils makes the wax gentle and relaxing.

The third element of the Branded Treatment Extra is a MASSAGE - dry, partial, performed on the spine. It consists in performing special grips and techniques in a strict sequence. The effect is the impact on the skin, muscular system, bones, joints, ligaments, nervous, cardiovascular and respiratory system, and indirectly on digestive and urinogenital system. Such interaction ensures versatile influence of the classical massage on the body, which, with a small amount of contraindications predisposes the procedure for the treatment of many diseases.

Effect:

- balancing the flow of energy in the body - normalizing the functions of organs and glands; - reduction of tension; - relaxation; - increases self-defense strengths of the organism, stimulating it to respond - self-cure; - local overheating of tissues; - increasing the blood supply; - Chemical action of therapeutic peloid components

Indications:

- muscle pains; - contractures; - chronic inflammatory diseases of the spine; - subacute and chronic deseases of some internal organs - lungs, stomach, liver; - post-traumatic states; - general health prevention; - regulating the activity of internal organs; - strengthening the immune system; - stress; - stimulating forces self-curing the body; - harmonizing the flow of energy - degenerative disease of the spine; - muscular atrophy; - neuralgia; - rheumatic diseases and degenerative; - neuroses; - obesity; - states of convalescence and exhaustion; - general fatigue
